Set in the world of Dungeons and Dragons, She Kills Monsters explores a 1990’s concept of fantasy and nerd-dom. The play follows the exceptionally average Agnes in her quest to come to terms with her younger sister Tilly’s death by playing the homemade Dungeons and Dragons game she left behind. Inspired by 90’s fantasy online rpgs, the design explores the concept of escapism into a magical world where anyone can be whoever they want (as long as they have enough HP to make it to the next battle).
